Protective conduit provides an outer sleeve around compatible pipework where additional separation, identification or protection is required. It may be used where pipe passes through floors, walls or structural elements, or where a sleeved installation forms part of the specified system design.
Conduit can help protect the pipe surface during installation and may allow limited movement or easier replacement in suitable applications. It should not be treated as a substitute for insulation, fire stopping or other project-specific protection unless the product is expressly designed for that purpose.
Select conduit with the correct internal diameter for the pipe and allow for bends, transitions and fixing points. Avoid tight radii or compression that could restrict the pipe inside.
