Multilayer composite pipe is a high-performance piping system engineered for durability, reliability, and efficiency. It is constructed from an inner and outer layer of raised-temperature polyethene (type II) and a core of lap-welded aluminium. This helps enhance the overall performance of the pipe and increases its overall lifespan.
Key Features:
Corrosion Resistance – The combination of materials offers superior resistance to corrosion.
Strength and Durability – The multilayer design provides exceptional strength and durability, ensuring long-lasting performance.
Lightweight – Compared to traditional materials, multilayer composite pipe is significantly lighter, reducing handling and installation costs.
Form Stable – Unlike plastic pipe, because of the MLC’s makeup, when you bend the pipe, it stays in shape, allowing for tight, swept bends.
Flexibility – Unlike copper, MLC comes in coiled lengths, meaning point-to-point connections can be made without joints.
Thermal expansion – reduced thermal expansion when compared to other plastic pipeworks, allowing for neat on-wall installations as well as in-wall
Leak-Resistant – The tight bond between the layers minimises the risk of leaks, ensuring reliable and efficient fluid transport.
