Underfloor heating manifolds distribute water between the individual pipe circuits serving different rooms or zones. They provide a central point for circuit connection, flow regulation, balancing, isolation and actuator control.
The correct manifold size is primarily determined by the number of circuits, but flow capacity, pipe type, mounting space and control strategy are also important. The manifold should be positioned where it remains accessible for commissioning and later maintenance.
Each circuit should be designed around the required heat output, pipe spacing and maximum recommended loop length. Once installed, flow rates must be balanced and the system commissioned as a whole.
