Manifold actuators open and close individual heating circuits in response to a thermostat or control signal. They are commonly fitted to underfloor heating manifolds to provide room-by-room or zone-based temperature control.
The actuator must match the manifold valve thread, operating voltage, control type and required normally open or normally closed configuration. It should also be compatible with the wiring centre or wider control system.
Actuators should be fitted without forcing the valve mechanism and wired by a suitably competent person. During commissioning, confirm that each thermostat controls the intended circuit and that the actuator opens and closes correctly.
